Undergraduate Student Researcher
Star Nkemere (she/her) is a 3rd year undergraduate student at UC San Diego majoring in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Design and Interaction. She is currently a research assistant in the JET Lab, where she intends to explore human-centered design, cognition, and the overall digital experience behind different ethnicities and genders. Her interests lie at the intersection of technology, human behavior, and strategy, with a focus on building inclusive and impactful user-centered technologies. As she focuses on community-building and empowerment of underrepresented groups in STEM, her broader career and research goals involve using design and technology to drive social impact and equity.
